Ooooo I love that one!

I was doing so good at hiding my nerdy side at work. Star Wars has basically thrown that out the window and I'm okay with that.

It doesn't hold much (I've gotten used to carrying a messenger bag) but it is adorable.

I was doing so good at hiding my nerdy side at work.

Don't hide, embrace it! I love all your gifts; I was looking at the R2-D2 measuring cups last week but figured I didn't need them. There's so much cool Star Wars merchandise. (One of my favorites is the R2-D2 teapot. I don't own much SW merchandise, but I want it all, lol.)

Oh, and the ice cubes trays are amazing. (The Han ones look perfect. So clever.)

Haha, I'm slowly embracing it more. My boss knows how nerdy I am and allows me to get away with it (such as leaving work early to take off to get to NYC to see the new movie).

Thanks! I'm super happy with all of my gifts and the ice cube trays can actually be used for other things, like stormtrooper butter or chocolate. So I'm going to have fun with them.

I'm going shopping first thing tomorrow to pick up ornaments cheaply, hopefully Kylo Ren.

Your boss sounds like a lovely person! (And fun to work for.)

Ooo, I didn't consider butter...that's a neat use for them too! I have a friend who used the Han Solo ones for chocolate, and I wanted that chocolate so badly, lol.

I'm going shopping first thing tomorrow to pick up ornaments cheaply, hopefully Kylo Ren.

Good luck! I hope you find what you're looking for. (I'm not a big ornament person, but there's some incredible SW ornaments. I want a SW tee but am still looking.)

My boss is a great person to work for. He's super chill and understanding, as long as I put my hours in (I'll come in early to make up for it) and then we can talk about the movies and I can gush about going to the Star Wars Costume Exhibit in the city.

I have a massive collection of Wizard of Oz ornaments so now I'm going to slowly build one of Star Wars ones. I bought a Darth Vader and R2-D2 stockings earlier so I will have a whole Star Wars Christmas collection.

All of that sounds delightful! I'm going to have to google 'Star Wars costume exhibit' now. That sounds like an exciting time! (SW has some magnificent costumes, so you must've been in for a treat. Were costumes from the new film there, too?)

There are worse things to collect! You should show off your collection, once you accumulate some more ornaments.

http://www.discoverytsx.com/star-wars-exhibition

Here's the link. It was AMAZING! If you're a Star Wars fan and have the opportunity to go to NYC to see it, I thought it was really well curated exhibit. It had costumes from all eras of the movies, mostly the prequels but only because there were SOOOO many costumes with all of the Jedi, Senators and Padme.

They did have Finn, Poe, and Rey's costumes, as well as the new stormtrooper ones.

The prequels had some spectacular costumes too, though! However else you felt about the films, I thought that's one thing they got right; Padme by herself had some stunning costumes, and there was quite a bit of variety. (I also loved Darth Maul but his face was the main attraction there.)

Cool! I adore Finn's jacket (it's his NOW, anyway) and Rey's costume is a new favorite of mine; very sensible, but also visually appealing.

I bet you took a ton of photos.

For most of the costumes, they just had them on mannequins that had no faces, but for Darth Maul, they had his face because for him, it was part of the whole costume.

I have TONS of photos but never uploaded them anywhere. Some didn't come out good because no flash. Also you could post next to Han Solo frozen in carbonite so that was fun. OMG we went in and there were little kids behind us who were so adorable and FREAKED out when they saw Jango Fett and Boba Fett.

Today's adventure in shopping was all about finding Star Wars holiday stuff on sale, so I got a bunch of ornaments really cheap and Christmas wrapping paper. Disney has marketed the movie SO WELL.
