My aunt and uncle always get my father a gift basket for Christmas. Not gonna lie, I love those things, probably more than my father does. There's always something new to try and having foods that don't spoil easily? Brilliant! I hate going to the shops after Christmas, our shops are closed on the 25th and 26th, so there's always chaos in the supermarkets on the first day after Christmas (this year is going to be even worse I guess, as the 27th is a Sunday, so the shops won't open until the 28th). We used to just kick back and eat the sausages and cheese from the gift basket in the days after Christmas.

That's probably a good idea as going anywhere immediately before or after Christmas can be crazy. So many damn people out! (That's a long, long wait for you guys though. Wow.)

Gift baskets are a 'safe' present, but I don't mind; I love food. As long as you know the person you're shopping for likes it, go for it!

I'm kind of hesitant because I've lost a lot of weight in the last couple of years and I know I don't need this, but I'll eat a little at a time.
