I really hate the Kanera pairing
Mostly because of the fans. They’re all loud, and obnoxious. They’re condescending jerks to everyone who doesn’t think Kanan and Hera are
secretly married.

Newsflash, they’re not secretly married. The people in charge have said they’re not together. The official books go out of their way to always refer to them as just friends. I wish the shippers would stop telling everyone it’s canon. I wish they’d stop harassing everyone who ships anything else involving either of them because “They would never cheat on their husband/wife!”I really wish they’d stop talking about Dawn the hybrid Kanera baby in meta and general discussion as if she’s canon.
And I really wish they’d stop insisting that the reason they have to be
Secretly Canon is Disney isn’t going show a heterosexual married couple in a cartoon. WTF?

s!b If I said any of this off anon, I’d have dozens of people condescendingly “correcting” my misconceptions.

I went into the series shipping them, so I was thrilled when I saw the interactions they have. The shippers though, and their never ending talk of them has made me completely sick of the pairing.

I ship them a lot, but I haven't really gotten into the fandom. They aren't canon, and I'm sorry the fans are being obnoxious.

The best part? I submitted three different, very reasonably worded, less angry sounding secrets about not liking it to a anon Star Wars Rebels confessional blog.

All three were never posted.

I made a generic secret as a test and it was posted immediately.

I am totally shocked to find out they're not a canon couple. I genuinely thought they were married. So glad I read this secret before I referred to their marriage IRL.

You should have seen the blowup when Kanan and Ahsoka had a somewhat flirty scene in an episode. It was impressive and angry. Lots of spamming anyone who posted about it or posted any fanworks hinting at Kanan/Ahsoka with Kanera fanart.
