This is how a fandom unites.

Not with joy, but with a resounding cry of "THE LAST EPISODE IS BULLSHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT".

...or, I just watched the Owari no Seraph finale and I'm quite amazed how utterly terrible it is. Terrible enough that the different corners of fandom have temporarily given up bashing each other to all bash on the episode instead, for one. The last time I saw a last episode bad enough to cause this was Valvrave.

I don't really know where I was going with this, so talk about awful last episodes of things, I guess?

I read the manga and watched the first season of the anime, but I wanted to wait until it was over to watch the second. Did the anime go in a totally different direction and have a new ending separate from where the manga's headed?

It's... well, it follows the manga until the later part of the last episode, then it just dives into original territory for a really weird ending. It shouldn't be too different apart from that though.

Phantom Planet. I've already ranted about its many issues as has most of the fandom.

There is one fic that gets me to hafheartedly accept it happened, but only if this fic comes after it. I honestly wish the author of that fic had wrote the episode, I'd probably love it or at least accept it because she managed to give Sam a GOOD reason for 'calling' out Danny on removing his powers.

The Aldnoah Zero fandom is more aptly called the Recovering From the Last Episode of Aldnoah Zero fandom. The last episode was in March.

For most things I'd say people should get over it already, but that episode earned its fandom well. Worst finale I've ever seen. And I've seen over 100 anime, not even counting all the other shows.

Merlin. I hated the ending. But it's not like I wasn't expecting it.

Star Trek: Enterprise. They killed off a character in a really dumb and meaningless way.

Fortunately he was a really dumb and meaningless character, so nothing of value was lost.

Trip? He was pretty much the Bones McCoy of the show.

Word of God is that he was supposed to survive if the show had been renewed.

Please, he was the tribble of the show.

Wasn't the death that pissed me off persay (one could make an argument either way of whether it was meaningless or not IMO), it was the shoehorning of Riker and Troi into the finale.

X-Files fans still bemoan how the series ended, although that's more about the last 2-3 seasons and not just the last episode.

Any good summaries for this series? I'm fascinated by fictional series which veer crazily off-course, more so when it happens just in the last installment, and this sounds intriguing.

At least it got an ending!

/Bitter Gangsta fan who'll never forgive the badly timed no-ending we got.
(It did unite the fandom tho! And it didn't just unite fans with different tastes, it even killed the complains about the animation thanks to the total rage after that las awful ep.)
