That's a damn good friend! Also, I'm jealous; I bought a lot of the DVD's back in the day but never completed the collection. I'd love to rewatch this as it was one of my favorite anime, but I don't know when I would find the time.

Out of curiosity, you mind mentioning the kinks? (I had ships, I always have ships, but I don't know if I developed any kinks because of this particular series.)

As for the kinks, uhh . . . they're all kinda messed up. XD Dub con, non con, manipulation, torture, corruption, and power imbalances and dynamics. I blame the Kurama/Karasu episodes and the Sensui ones for those. I'm also a fan of the "arch enemies turned best friends" and "laying your life down for people you love" tropes, though I'm not sure if they qualify as kinks. I just know I shipped the hell out of Yusuke/Kuwabara back in the day before I knew what shipping was.

I never really liked Kurama/Karasu together, but I can see why you would ship it! It felt very canon, lol.

This comment has made me realize how vanilla I was in my Yu Yu Hakusho days. Not that I can't enjoy dub con or manipulation or any of that, but I wasn't into it in that fandom. That came later.

Man, this takes me back! I loved YuYu Hakusho (though the last arc... eh. I didn't like what happened to Yusuke).
I also have moments where I look back at something from my childhood and realize that's where a certain kink came from...
