I think most people have been more eye rolling about the fact that Harry and Ron don't look anything like either the book descriptions or the actors, but that's fine.

But Hermione being black?! Call the canon police! They're not raaaacist, they're just concerned about the accuracy of canon!

Maybe I've finally learned to tune out the anti-PC folks because I haven't seen that much concern over Hermione's casting. More people are miffed that Ron is too short.

When I first saw the pictures I guessed wrong about Harry and Ron-- I think the guy playing Ron looks more like Harry and vice versa.
