Yeah, excessive shipping is a blight upon fandom. It has pretty much become all fandom is about (and even in the days when it was paper fanzines with at least two stories about Kirk and Spock in drag, it was never this all pervading). I blame AO3 for this, I really do.

Actually, yeah. I loosen the lid a little before I want to drink it so it goes a bit flat. It is less harsh on my stomach that way.

Yup, because in 2004 on LJ, Harry/Draco didn't infect every single sector of fandom I was in or anything. Nope, this is an "Ao3 thing".
