What you want to bet that half the people whining about this are the same ones that go "It's the talent that matters, not the race!" when stuff like The Last Airbender or any of the other many many examples of whitewashing happens?

I don't think ANYBODY defends TLA. It was a horrible movie. Those kids were horrible actors. and iirc people here were annoyed at the whitewashing there.

To be fair, the lack of talent in that film came from the Indian guy writing it. The kids did fine, or as fine as we could hope for given the lead weight they were given.
