She may have been intended to be white, but in the text there's never a passage that says "Hermione, a visibly Caucasian girl, said..."

I may have intended to close a html tag for italics, but if I don't close the tag then everything's going to be italics, not just what I intend.

I may intend to spell Congratulations on a cake, but people will still make fun of my Congradulaysuns.

Okay, really, but that is the clunkiest sentence ever. Who would use "a visibly Caucasian girl" as a descriptor? Usually, you'd attempt to describe your character is a less scientifically precise way, because that is a ridiculous level of detail.

Unless of course you had enough foresight to predict the ridiculously wanky discussion that both sides are participating in here.
