Yeaaaaaahhhh the various Journals also had many instances of extreme drama, wank, and harassment over the years. Including death threats, fake suicides, doxxing, and more.

This is nothing new, or different. I'd offer you some more cheese with that whine, though, if I could.

Yes, there was terrible shit on LJ. But it was very contained and unless you went LOOKING for it, you never came across it.

Tumblr brings it all to the fore front. There's a reason why SJWs are so hated there. And people like you can say to blacklist all of it and to only follow people who don't post that shit, but that shit is very much easier said than done. Because people like myself blacklist everything under the sun, but that shit still comes through. And the negativity tends to out weigh the positives.

I've been on tumblr going on 5-6 years now. It's changed drastically and fandom has been damaged drastically in that short amount of time.

Outrage culture and people acting untoward demonstrably worse on tumblr despite not seeking it out yourself, eh. Well, let's see.

Two people are having a conversation about two websites, and one of them sites a single instance of drama as proof that one website is worse than another. The other points out that the other website had instances of drama like that all over the place.

You butt in a day late cursing and raving about "SJWs" and "people like you" to someone you've never even spoken to before.

Has it ever occurred to you that you might be part of the problem?

Nope. Because I've been on both sites for a long ass time. And from what I can tell in your comments, you haven't been on Tumblr for nearly as long as I, and other users here, have. So in this aspect, you REALLY have no idea what you are talking about.

And guess what? You are a part of that problem also.

Well, given that you're the one who started this conversation with me, I'm not really sure how I'd do that. By all means do leave though, you haven said anything of value yet. If this is the general attitude and level of discourse amongst those who loathe tumblr users, frankly, I'll take the tumblr users.

Might you not want to wander off to spit and rave about the evils of tumblr elsewhere, whilst convincing everyone you talk to that the people who hate tumblr are worse than they could ever be?

Plus another good thing on LJ was mods. In the communities, if people started up stupid shit, then usually it was either deleted, or the user was banned, depending on what was going on. On Tumblr, there are no mods, so people can go hog wild with what they want to post. I completely agree with you,
