Men who might be open to badass women but somewhat skeptical about whether they could be interesting, who might become more firmly convinced that badass women ARE in fact cool and interesting if they watched these shows, but get turned off by the dumb and weak male characters and therefore never finish watching them and stay skeptical.

After all, these men are REALLY important future allies and social/political support for cultural shifts and even political actions benefiting women and establishing a norm of greater gender equality. No marginalized group can do diddly-squat without getting the support and sympathy of good a chunk of non-marginalized groups.
