Re: Unexpected Ships

For Teen Wolf, I was kind of surprised that people flocked to Derek/Stiles over Derek/Scott. Although I don't really ship it, I can see why Derek/Stiles would appeal to people, but I honestly saw more shipping fodder for Derek/Scott in the show and figured that the amount of shippers for both pairings would at least be a little more even.

I'm mad by the lack of every other ship in TW fandom except for Derek/Stiles. :(

Maybe because Tyler Posey is a dreadful actor. I just can't take him seriously at all, so I kinda zone out during all his scenes (or I used to two years ago when I was still watching the show). I'm sure he's a cool dude in real life, but man, it's like watching driftwood act.

Also, Stiles and Derek had WAY more cute antagonistic chemistry. Which is like chumming the slash waters.

There was more shipping fodder for Derek/Scott in the early seasons, I'll admit that, but I have problems with the pairing because Derek is my favorite character. The last episode of season 2, where Scott is forcing Derek to bite someone who wants to kill him, while he's paralyzed and on the ground and begging him not to, and then rubbing it in...yeah, Derek/Scott became a NOTP after that. I'm not the only one who felt that way, either, and so much fic was produced in the season two/season three hiatus that it seems inevitable that Derek/Scott never took off.
