I've been re-reading the stories and I LOVE THEM SO MUCH I totally forgot how delightful Holmes is and how fun the adventures and mysteries are. Just wanted to share my happiness.

Awww, nice. :) I get that feeling when I reread them, too... despite the fact that I've read them several times, it still surprises me how accessible they are for something from the Victorian era. Like you expect it to be really flowery language or hard to parse, but nope. They're great stories.

If you like those you might like Conan Doyles other short stories too, they're delightfully gothic and full of curiosities and dark humor.
