Little Kids' Anime Shows

(Anonymous) 2015-12-30 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
I've gotten pretty disillusioned about most new/current anime aimed for teens and up and/or aimed at niche audiences, except for the really good stuff, but I have a big soft spot for the humor and personalities in little kids' shows like Pokemon and still watch them for cheering-up purposes and the like, and was wondering if anyone had recs for others as well?

Yo-Kai Watch is one that comes to mind. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure what it's about, but the little kids I babysit are really into it and it looks like a fun show.

Yowamushi Pedal is as fun and sweet as it is suited for younger kids. I like it a lot and it always cheers me up.

If you like girly shojo-ish shows, I'd recommend the JewelPet series. It's very popular with little girls in Japan and it's made by Sanrio (Hello Kitty, My Melody, etc.). Each season is a different genre of sorts, so you can jump into any of them just fine. I'd recommend Twinkle (magic academy setting, focus on character development) and Kira Deco (sentai team, focus on humor). Happiness (collectathon in a cafe setting) was also cute. It's a really nice feel-good series. The season endings tear apart your heart, though.
