Re: Is cutting off a mans penis...

Can I get your reasoning behind this?

Re: Is cutting off a mans penis...

(Anonymous) 2015-12-30 01:21 am (UTC)(link)
Because it's not sex crime.

Re: Is cutting off a mans penis...

Yeah I figured that, given the question was "Is it?" and you answered "No."

I meant WHY don't you think it's a sex crime?

Re: Is cutting off a mans penis...

(Anonymous) 2015-12-30 01:29 am (UTC)(link)
Because it's just not. I don't get why anyone would think it would be. It's like asking if chickens are fish. They're just not.

What?

Is the idea that cutting off someone's sex organ is a sex crime really that implausible?

"it just isn't and I don't get why anyone can think otherwise" is not an argument.

DA

If they mean it that the act by itself is not enough to be considered a sex crime without more context that pushes it into a sex crime area, I agree with them

Stabbing someone by itself is not enough to be considered an attempted murder but context can push it from assault and battery into attempted murder; saying "stabbing = attempted murder" is still factually wrong because it's just not. Not without more context

Obviously a crime involving a sexual organ would be a candidate to be considered a sex crime. Not saying it IS, but it's pretty clear why people would think it is.

Why do you think it's so obvious that it's not a sex crime?

See chicken and fish example above. Sex crimes pertain to rape and rape like events. Severing a body part is in no way like rape, Why do people not get this?

DA

What if it happened in the midst of a rape or rape like event?

Re: Is cutting off a mans penis... TW Rape

(Anonymous) 2015-12-30 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
Then the rape or rape like event is a sex crime, but not the severing. If somone cuts off a womans finger during a rape, the finger cutting is not a rape.

Re: Is cutting off a mans penis... TW Rape

There's kind of a fucking difference between severing a finger and severing a sexual body part.

I'd say that breaking or damaging a sexual body part intentionally is a sex crime.

I see what you did there

Re: Is cutting off a mans penis... TW Rape

(Anonymous) 2015-12-30 02:07 am (UTC)(link)
....oh shit why can't I do this kind of stuff intentionally. It's always by accident. Always.

Re: Is cutting off a mans penis... TW Rape

(Anonymous) 2015-12-30 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
I dont

Re: Is cutting off a mans penis... TW Rape

(Anonymous) 2015-12-30 05:12 am (UTC)(link)
a fucking difference

Re: Is cutting off a mans penis... TW Rape

(Anonymous) 2015-12-30 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
I disagree, if someone intentionally mutilates someone's genitalia during a rape like event where their intent with the mutilation is to destroy or greatly harm the person's future sex life, it's rape-like enough to me
