Kuroko no Basuke spoilers

I'm amazed that Kuroko/Aomine and Kuroko/Kise aren't more popular. Especially Kuroko/Aomine... The Teiko arc was overflowing with it and even before that point they seemed like an obvious ship to me.

The ending of the manga too... What with AOMINE CRYING and all, I was so sad that no one was writing it.

Yeah, I prefer both Kuroko/Aomine and Kuroko/Kise to Aomine/Kise, which I kind of view as "standard prettyboy slash" though I concede that there's more reason to ship them than that.

Aomine/Kise def didn't come from nowhere, but for me Aomine/Kuroko is one of the most interesting, weighty relationships in the manga/anime. I was completely drawn in.

Kuroko/Kise... I wouldn't even say there's much more interaction between them then Aomine and Kise, but at one point I was genuinely convinced that Kise had a crush on Kuroko so I def felt like there was more subtext in their relationship.

I hear you; Kuroko/Aomine is definitely my favorite pairing in the series. Kuroko/Kise is also pretty cute

I'm glad to hear it! I haven't delved deep in the fandom, but searching for fic or going into the tumblr tag made me feel very alone. There's such a wealth of Aomine/Kuroko in the source material... It seems like a waste to not explore it more. :/

I do like Kagami/Kuroko too, but the Teiko arc gave me a huge soft spot for Aomine and Kuroko. I was shipping it far before then, but if I hadn't that arc would've sealed the deal; it was so nice seeing another side of Aomine! (And daaaaamn was Aomine a loyal friend. Then... Well, the angst. So much potential! The lack of jealousy fic for them confuses me.)

Kuroko/Kise is one of the most popular, if not he most popular, pairing in Jfen, though. It doesn't get the same attention in the west, so that might be it.

eta: or well, thats how it was when I was semi-involved in the fandom. These days I have no idea, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

... Wow. I wish I could've walked into that section of fandom instead, because Aomine/Kagami is everywhere I look and Kuroko/Kise is almost nonexistent in western fandom. I have looked for art and found a lot of Japanese stuff, but a lot of that was Aomine/Kagami too.

Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places!
