Because Finn is a rather big character and there's barly been a good interracial pair on the big screen. And interspecies doesn't count as that usually involves a non-existant race/being/species. That and, as of right now, Poe and Rey have yet to meet/talk. And even then, that'd still be interracial since he's not Caucasian.

...yes, really? I wasn't studying his face, didn't know the name or nationality of the actor, and "Poe" isn't a particularly ethnic name as far as I'm aware.
