(Anonymous) 2015-12-30 01:49 pm (UTC)(link)Before streaming services arrived in my country I was resigned to not being able to follow 99% of televisual fandom at all because the TV shows (the mostly American) fandom was into never aired on our TV.
Are you American? I dont know how TV works there, but I was under the impression that you had to buy cable to get the shows before. So now you have to pay Netflix instead of cable, so what's the difference? If anything, that's better. You get to pick and choose now.
Seriously, can someone explain it to me? I don't understand this secret.

Regional restrictions are also an issue, depending on what you wanna see.
