Same for gender wars. Most of is hypocrisy anyway.
Anyway, I think JJ Abrams ain't that bad if you get him away from Orzi and Kurtzman. (or whatever their names are, those two hack writers.)

I feel the other way around. Orci & Kurtzman are fine, if not in conjunction with JJ Abrams.

No, JJ Abrams' work blows. He seems like a nice guy, but I've hated his output for both Star Wars and Star Trek with a burning passion.

He's a one-trick pony. Namely, he copies Star Wars: A New Hope. That's it.

You're forgetting all the tv series he has done. He's not the most versatile writer out there, but I wouldn't call him a one trick pony.
