About 1/2 to 2/3 of the Clarkson, Hammond & May (formerly known as Top Gear, they still haven't named their new Amazon show) fandom. So many Clarkson stans and TG fans in general didn't think he should've been fired for punching a coworker (never mind all the other shit he pulled). And woe betide anyone who AGREED with the Beeb's decision; that person obviously WASN'T a fan of the show. And they hate criticism of Clarkson in general especially if you point out what a shitty person he really is.

Hopefully, they'll keep him better fed on the Amazon show so that he doesn't punch someone else.
