I have a friend exactly like your brother, always complaining about being alone because he looks like Quasimodo but expects to be handed a bevy of supermodels simply because he exists on this planet as a heterosexual male. Refuses to consider any other women of course, because reasons. Gonna die alone, I bet.

The sad thing is that my brother isn't unattractive at all. I'd say he's actually above average in terms of looks. Several of his female friends are crushing on him at any given time, and he knows it. He'd have a ton of options if he'd go for anything but the hottest women he knows.

But nah, fuck that, right. It'd be one thing if he acknowledged it and said "well I have high standards, but I'll find the perfect girl one day" instead of "oh woe is me girls don't like me dating is so harrrrd." Wallowing in self-pity when there are women interested in him to whom he would never give the time of day in a romantic sense. How exactly does he think they feel?

Honestly, my guess is he doesn't think about that at all.

Your brother is the type of guy who's very vulnerable to MRA/pick up artist bullshit. I hope he doesn't go down that path, it'll make his dating prospects even worse.

SMH. I had this exact same type of friend. Okay guy, not a looker and frankly his personal hygiene needed work. He was forever bitching about how women didn't like him because he wasn't tall and ripped, how shallow they were, etc. etc. I was like dude, you are short, skinny, you dress badly and you do not bathe. WHY do you think a supermodel would go for you?
