That Worf episode started playing on BBC America just as I opened this. I had a Keanu Reeves "whoa" moment right there.

Anyway, I like the new Star Trek. In fairness, I grew up with TNG and not TOS. But I don't even associate the new films with TOS. It's like it's vaguely similar people with the same names. I can understand why TOS fans are upset by them.

Also, Karl Urban is beautiful, and my guilty pleasure movies are "Doom" and "Dredd" because of him. Although "Dredd" is objectively a good movie. "Doom" is not, and I have no explanation except for my adoration of Urban.

You shouldn't feel bad about liking Doom and Dredd. Karl Urban is a good enough reason to like anything.

Lol, so true. And Rosamund Pike is in it, and she's pretty awesome, especially being surrounded by all those Tough Guys. I will try not to feel bad about it in the future, although perhaps not gushing about Urban being freaking gorgeous would help things. :P

Doom is an enjoyable bad film, don't feel guilty about liking it.
I am vocal in my love of other enjoyable bad films such as Battleship, 2012, and Deep Blue Sea so perhaps I'm not the best judge of films ;)

da

Karl Urban's McCoy is the one thing I really liked about NuTrek.

Fair enough, because he's fantastic. :)
