77. Way to, oh, I don't know, MISS THE POINT OF THE ENTIRE STORY? Edward was a shallow idiot who didn't care who Giselle really was so long as he got a happily-ever-after with a beautiful princess! He couldn't even talk about anything! And I don't think Nancy flipping for him at the end was realistic, but at least one woman got to learn how dumb he was. If you want the fairy tale to go the way it's supposed to, don't KNOWINGLY WATCH A SUBVERSION.

Oh yes, because "sweet, innocent girl teaches the bitter, jaded man how to looooove again" isn't overplayed either. I got the point. The point was lame. Yes, it's clearly better and so much more realistic to know a person for about a week before falling in love than it is at first sight. Silly me.

Rofl "realism" in a movie where the entire point was satire of cliches. Fail.

Trufax. If it was realistic, Giselle and Nancy would have realized they were perfect for each others and ditch the men in a heartbeat.

I'd watch that movie.

It'd be like Wicked with the right ending!

I hadn't seen the parallels before, but now that you mention it...

I'm sorry to have used the word realistic at all, honestly, because I'm sure we can both agree that Disney movies are never realistic. The most I'll say for Enchanted is that it wasn't traditional...but it made you perfectly aware of that fact. I don't even like it, and I think Giselle should have gone off on her own for a while or ended up with Nancy, but that'd never happen but the fact remains that Edward has little personality to speak of.
