See, I never got that. He appears for like... two minutes. How much of a personality can you draw out of two minutes of screentime? You can pretty much infer that he's a showoff, a ladies man, and doesn't really have much in the way of morals. Shoot me for it, but that seems pretty damn consistent with the man who kidnapped an opera singer because she was pretty and runs around on an airship with a freaking onboard casino.

Setzer's depth only started to come into play in his whole backstory with Daryl and his involvement with the Returners, and considering none of the above exist in the KH-verse, Setzer being a shallow fop seems pretty on-target to me.

And yeah, Nomura's addicted to hair gel, but other than that? If, between the FFVI sprites and Amano's artwork you can actually figure out WTF Setzer was wearing underneath his jacket then please inform me because I'm dying to know.

Also, he's voiced by freaking CRISPIN FREEMAN. 'Nuff said.

Anyway, I swear I'm the only one in the damn fandom who actually likes KH!Setzer. Sob.

Setzer was clever in FFVI. I just think that KHII dumbed him down too much. They took away everything that made him cool (aside from that quote, hee hee hee) and made him a complete -dandy-. He might have had loose morals in FFVI, but he was just a total idiot in KHII. I mean, bribing a kid to throw the game? That's as completely un-Setzer like as it comes. He might have been impressed that -he- was tricked with a double-headed coin, but I can't see him paying someone to lose for him.

I think most of his lack of love is down as you said, to him being in it for such a short time. I don't think a lot of people who play KHII wanna go through old-skool spritey FFVI for a small-time character like him. Sadly. *pets it*

And...cool though Crispin Freeman's voice is... I don't like him on Setzer. *hides* Sorry, I just can't help it! D= I can't stand him on Itachi, either. He'll forever be Tsume or Amon to me. D= D= D=

Also.. as for his outfit? He pretty much wears the same. Except with a ruffle-tie thing and... he may or may not wear that horrible waist sash thing. His coat was most definitely black, though, not that...dodgy looking dark blue he has goin' on in KH. And he wore it PROPERLY, not like some stupid cape with sleeves. My main issue with his character design is his hair! It was so nice when it was wavy... D= The spikes are not cool.

He did win back thousands and thousands of points for using a FFVI quote in the battle though. <3

And I sort of have to like him a little for... just being a FFVI character in KHII. Takes some of the spotlight, a very small shaft of it, off of FFVII for a bit.

Yeah, I can see your point on the dumbing down bit. But honestly, I tend to think of KH as a cracky crossover AU: have fun, just don't take it too seriously.

Dude, Crispin Freeman does Itachi? This is what I get for hiding from the Naruto dubs. LOL, he's always Zelgadis or Touga to me (though his Albedo is awesome on a stick)... I dunno. I'll be the first to admit that I'm just a huge fangirl for him, in any role.

Nomura's designs are horribly repetitive, but he's still good at dishing out pretteh. I could really care less either way. :P

I can get why the oldschool fans don't like him, but... damn. I still wish he had more love. Plug his name into the search engine at the Pit in the KH section and you get like... ten fics. Or less. O.o

Yes, he does Itachi. But avoid it because it's HORRIBLE and BAD. *flails* I can't seem to stop myself watching the dub episodes with him, though. Cos... Kirk Thornton.... Kisame.... So.. much win... X3

And yeah...you have a point with the pretty. Though.. I get my KH Pretty Fix from Saix and Vexen. Mwahahahaha.

I'm going to go against my FFVI Fanboy Purist-ness and be all "I WISH THEY'D REMAKE FINAL FANTASY SIX!!!1one" cos... it might have more FANS that way. *sob*

The moment Naruto opened his mouth I swore I wouldn't watch another damn episode of the Naruto dubs. Not for anyone or anything. DX

KH is like a freaking cruise ship of pretty. 50% of the reason I'm in the fandom is pretty. If you're not there for the crack, the gay or the pretty, then why are you there? :P

You know, I bet they will remake FFVI. They're doing it with IV for DS (OMG asdghk; I want it so hard nao), hell, they're even making a damn sequel to IV with Cecil's son (ohhh, the rape). If after all that they don't re-make VI I'm going to have to shoot something. Like myself. XD

Sadly, I think FFVII will get a remake before FFVI, I think there's more call for it. *sulk* And yes, you're right about the Pretty and the Gay in the KH fandom. X3 Can't go wrong with Organization XIII. Even the Not So Pretty ones are pretty.

Except Axel. Who I have unbridled hate for due to Vexen.

I dunno, Square have been beating around the bush on a FFVII remake for the longest time. I think they're going to keep milking the Compilation franchise for a while to build the hype or whatever before they come out with the actual remake, but at this point it's all just speculation. (Though the ending of Crisis Core seems to imply they're going to do a remake... I think? Maybe?)
