OH GOD that happens all the time and I hate it. I'd be okay if they simply said, if you don't hear by such-and-such date, it means we went with someone else, but so many managers tell you that oh sure, they'll totally let you know in a week/two weeks, etc. and then you never hear from them again. Just send an form e-mail, you sadistic fucks.
