There’s this artist in my fandom. Her art is absolutely amazing; very creative, fairly unique. I love her doodles of her favorite character; exactly how I’d picture him too. Her character is often paired with my favorite character. Whom she draws as fat. Not a little chubby either, obese. I didn’t know I was such a narrow-minded fuck but damn I just can’t enjoy her art because of it.

It is a bit of a shame he rarely gets shipped with other characters. I know it's probably because he's not in a prepackaged pair unlike the others at the team (well, there's him and Noya, but it's usually a brotp for them), but still. I like the idea of Tanaka/Hinata. They're both fun, and of course there's the senpai/kouhai thing too.

I don't agree with the SJW mentality that's taken over fandom, but man, the more I see of the self-proclaimed anti-SJWs the more I think they're just as bad if not worse.

Okay, so a fanbrat throws a hissy fit because some artist drew their favourite character with a slightly lighter skin tone than they have in canon. Is the "solution" really to draw that character in blackface as a "joke"?

And yes, I have seen people actually do this. I couldn't find the specific example I'm thinking of as it appears to have been deleted, but I think the background image I've used is equally offensive.

IDGAF if you're an SJW or an anti-SJW. If you're spewing the sort of crap I'd expect to see on Stormfront, I don't want you in my fandoms either way.

I agree with you on the dynamics. I'm working on a fic, and this is exactly how I'm writing them. I like the ship, but only when she's in charge. But people can ship how they want, and there isn't anything wrong with others seeing it differently.

As I understand, as someone who hates GoT, it wasn't that the scene was gratuitous, it was that it existed at all when it wasn't in the books. Sansa had already been torn down, so to speak, it was excessive to have her character go through this, too.

...which remains funny to me that people drew the line at this. The books themselves are ridiculously gratuitous, delighting in shock factor at every point and at times, a fantasy-genre Lolita. GRRM would totally have written that scene himself, in pornographic detail. So yeah, people pretending the books are somehow so much more respectable are really kidding themselves.
