It is a bit of a shame he rarely gets shipped with other characters. I know it's probably because he's not in a prepackaged pair unlike the others at the team (well, there's him and Noya, but it's usually a brotp for them), but still. I like the idea of Tanaka/Hinata. They're both fun, and of course there's the senpai/kouhai thing too.

Tanaka is fantastic! I think he's one of the most likable characters in the manga/anime and it is sad people don't pay more attention to him.

As for shipping, I could def see Tanaka/Noya, but I also ship Noya/Asahi so...

Tanaka/Taketora is a good ship, though! From their first scene together I thought they could be a thing.

Tanaka is delightful even on his own, but I wouldn't at all mind seeing him paired up! (If anyone was going to have a canon romance, I think he might even be my favorite candidate.)

As for hotness, I'm more attracted to Asahi, but Tanaka might be number two.

Shipping wise I've seen some people ship Tanaka and Noya, but they're such a platonic brotp to me to be honest I feel like people just pair them because they're close, which kinda bugs me because Tanaka and Noya are one of my absolute favourite platonic brotp pairings ever, and they're my go-to when people ask about guys who are close but don't give off a "slashy" vibe.

Plus....yeah I'm really guilty of having my slash goggles on too tight but Noya seems way too invested in Asahi.

However, Tanaka and Taketora? I could picture them totally "dude, bro, my brooo" friends at first bonding mutually over how hot Kiyoko is (and pretty much all girls are) and then one of them (Tanaka :P) suggests something stupid like "I wanna practice dating, y'know, for when I get a totally hot girlfriend, duh, and you're the only dude I trust, and besides you need the practice too" and it turns into them taking each other on "practice dates" and eventually "practice kissing" and neither of them realizes that their "practice" has turned int a real relationship until someone (probably Noya) points it out. :P

I don't have a problem with people shipping them, because I'm a massive fan of bff pairings. Not that I always ship the best friends, but it's a theme that appeals to me and pops up quite often.

Noya/Asahi feels less platonic for whatever reason to me (Maybe because of Asahi's introduction and how devastated Noya seemed by his absence; he takes it SO personally to a degree that the others don't seem to), but I'm sure there are people who see things differently.

I would not in the least be surprised if this happened. Like, I could see, "I'm gonna kiss you but no homo, it's just practice!" then they realize, "Yes, yes homo." They would be oblivious to what was going on.

I like him a lot. He's probably my 3rd favorite (after Noya and Asahi). :)

Tanaka is a pretty cool guy. He spikes balls and doesn't afraid of anything.

I have the same dilemma of having a hard time shipping him (and him and Noya are too much brotp for me to ship them), but I do ship him with Tsukki in their prototype versions.
