that seems like a pretty legit reason to stop being friends with someone, tbh. or, ok, maybe just to not watch movies with them. but i can see how it would be part of a pattern of unpleasant behavior.

By itself...well, I just wouldn't want to watch films with them, but it sounds like OP is suggesting they had other problems. (Maybe other annoying habits that OP couldn't get over.)

People are rarely inconsiderate in only one single way. Someone who's inconsiderate about one thing is pretty likely to be generally inconsiderate and more focused on what they want than on what their friends want.
