Yeah I agree with this. I think people see celebrities as people who have put themselves out there for criticism, and to some extent they are (criticising actors who aren't good at acting or writers who could work on their writing, for example, is fine). It's unfortunate that people rag on looks so much, but I think when people criticise a celebrity's looks, they do it in comparison with other celebrities, not themselves or people around them.
