I've been rewatching this show too, and I liked her right up until the episode where she left. Her really biphobic comment to Callie bugged me. Watching it again now, though, I could understand where she was coming from in the sense that she was having this really eye opening experience and couldn't understand that it wasn't the same for Callie. It was still an awful comment, but I think that if she stuck around they could have worked through it.

That being said, Callie/Arizona is my OTP and if she'd stayed we wouldn't have gotten Arizona.

Also, it wasn't Shonda's idea to lose her. The studio execs didn't like her and basically ordered Shonda to get rid of her.
