Hell, the places where the topic is treated like a "typical" fandom tend to be frowned on by most people, i think? By which i mean: communities of serial killers fangirls who gush over how pretty they are and have actual shipping wars are absolutely a thing, but even if i'm interested in true crime i wouldn't touch those communities with a ten-foot pole.
