Huh...no offense, just idle curiosity, but do you have any idea what about it makes you uncomfortable, or why you might be uncomfortable about stuff like that?

No idea. It's the same way for me in real life, up to and including people grubbing around for money after a family member's death. It's probably something to do with someone gaining from someone else's misfortune? It's easier if I don't like the characters at all.
