I didn't realize how much I hated the "liar revealed" plotline until the Nostalgia Critic highlighted it in his reviews and I noticed how ubiquitous and lazy it is. Maybe I'd like it more if it played out with different beats, but 99% of the time, it's "lie is told, liar gets away with it for a time, the liar is revealed, other characters are angry, liar redeems themselves, other characters forgive them."
