Aren't they, though? Croik is the hero that Ruvik/Seb needs.

I think Croik is a great author (I've been following Croik's stories for a while because they just luckily happen to pop up in a lot of fandoms I'm in as well - yay!) but the Evil Within stories really are especially great!
