I think they're bothered by art that's very clearly supposed to be fetish art, yet the artist swears up and down that "it isn't, they swear!"

If the artist says straight up it's fetish art, it's fine. If the artist doesn't say anything about it, it's fine. That way, they're not pretending (publicly at least) to be something else when it's quite obviously fap fodder for them and other like minded people.
