I wish there were more teens in fandom. I'll take all the terribly written high school AU fics of the late 1990s-early 2000s over the current Characters-Are-Just-Mouthpieces-For-My-Favorite-SJW-Talking-Points trend.

Hate to break it to you, but that's more a teen thing than an adult thing. (And lots of adults are writing high school AUs)

I've seen more of that coming from the 15-18 crowd.
Once you hit around 23 they tend to mellow a bit, in most cases. There exceptions.

Most of the ones I've seen admit to being in their early 20s.
