i want novels set in that fantasy assassin world. in fact, I should look for fic of it - just stories that begin and end in the hotel.

I went looking for fic (of the shippy variety for me) and I was disappointed how little there was. Good worldbuilding fic would be so interesting too.

I enjoyed it for what it was. I'm actually kind of sad that they're doing a sequel. I just want him and his puppy to have a nice retired life going on walks and playing catch and doing fun puppy activities! A sequel means he's going to get dragged through the shit again, and unlike some other action films, it's clear that that stuff takes a toll on his body. Just live happily ever after with your puppy John! What are they going to do to get him to go back in the biz? Kidnap his puppy?!
