Eh, even though Reddit can be pretty awful and stupid, some of their fansubs can surprisly be open minded and nice. The comicbook and anime communities on there are pretty chill and accepting. (for the most part anyway)

It's nice that you found a good place for fandom op, but due to all the gross brony shit with all the molestation jokes and victim blaming and rape threats and all that other bullshit in the past, I still have a hard time not cringing whenever theyre mentioned.

Yeah this. I follow the FFRK sub because it's been a great community and resource for the game and the sub is honestly really good. The only things I hate about it is the occasional use of the r slur (tho it's rather rare) and the cissexist jokes whenever DeNA messes up a character's pronouns in translation (which, thankfully, has only happened twice - other typos however...).

All the subs I follow are good. FFRK, FFXIV, shittyfoodporn, and a few others. I've rarely seen, and never spend time in, the "toxic" areas of reddit.

Saying reddit is a sewer is like saying the Internet is: A stupid, incorrect generalization. There are good and bad areas everywhere, online and off.

Just a general rant, not directed at the comments above mine.
