Re: When do you consider someone well-off?
Chasing after the latest and greatest, going into debt, not saving, all are huuuuuuge reasons people become poor.

(Anonymous) 2016-01-05 02:12 am (UTC)(link)So before people start raging, obviously it's not all poor people's fault for being poor. A lot of people never had the opportunity or education they deserve or got wrecked through bad luck or health issues, and if people are born poor or grow up poor it's hugely difficult to make it out. The economy and life are completely stacked against the poor and it's damn unfair. That's all true. That doesn't negate the fact that many people of every class become unnecessarily poor through the things you listed, too. Any dumb millionaire can blow all their money just like any middle class person can. Being smart with money is an important skill to have.
and I say that as a bleeding-heart liberal.
