A Knight in Shining Armor was so good! I loved, loved, loved Jude Deveraux's books until about the mid-90's and then I didn't really like High Tide and just stopped reading her stuff. Tried to read one of her Nantucket Brides books recently and DNF.

But back in the day--Deveraux was the best. The Conquest is my recommendation.
