21. Give me some proof that her official name is Duck and maybe I'll take you seriously. Even if her name does literally mean "duck" in Japanese, her name should remain in its original language because that's just what her name is, man. By your logic, Gwyneth Paltrow's child Apple should be referred to as Ringo by the Japanese people.

but her name probably means duck for a reason! if the authors wanted to elicit an image of a duck whenever someone said her name, then when it gets translated to a different language, "duck" would probably be the right choice.

guess it's more of an issue of preserving the original or making the series more universal/easily understood. and yeah, i think her name should stay the same (it's a name, you can know what it means without changing it, right?), but it'd be really funny if people start calling her ducky in fanfic or something

I don't know, I've been following the War Against Scientology (because it brings mighty lulz) and I'm pretty sure that all of the 2-10 demonstrations were completely arranged by Anonymous. Check this out (http://deathboy.livejournal.com/1082404.html), a writeup by a participant in the protest against the UK head office... it made me beam with hope for the intranets.

You'd be wrong. Those events and the ones taking place on the Ides of March are 'Anonymous' "events" (as in Anonymous said (and this is paraphrased, duh) "hey guys lets to rl peaceful protests on this date, spread the word to all that want to pwn Co$. Go with great LOLZ.")

The fact that there are "funny" things at the protests as well as serious signs and messages makes it obvious that the intent and protest is a peaceful one.

And as a show of no hard feelings, here is John Barrowman's very nice ass.
