I believe I specifically said that it's nothing fancy and only enjoyable to people who like puzzles for their own sakes.

If I do another, it will be much more interesting.

Also: I'm utterly confused by the wank. The idea that people are this enraged over a simple matter of nine similar secrets is a thing I find enigmatic and vaguely unsettling.

Edit: This was obviously meant to be an anon comment, but I misclicked, and the hell with it. I'm bad at keeping secrets anyways.

:/ Yeah, probably. I'll try not to get sucked in, but I want to respond to the (teensy minority of) people who enjoyed the set, and doing that while failing to respond to critics is just rude. Thanks for the advice, though.

What really ticks me off is that by accidentally breaking anon I've ruined my chance to post a really good secret that I only thought of because of the responses to this set. Unfortunately, because of the nature of the secret, everybody and his dog would know it was me.

If you make it vague enough, chances are no one's even going to remember by next week

It kind of starts out GUESS WHAT BITCHES, I USED TO HATE HIM TOO in large font. I was angry when I wrote it. Beautiful composition, though!

I might wait a few weeks and tone down the bitchiness by a factor of ten or so. :D

To you I suggest making an entire community dedicated to putting together neat puzzles like this, mainly because I personally think Fandom Secrets isn't the place for this and so far it's been very, very negatively received(stating the obvious right there).

They don't send me into a blinding rage certainly, but they are a bit annoying mainly because they aren't *real* secrets they're a puzzle posted by someone who wish(ed) to remain secret themselves with an ulterior motive at hand. Not someone admitting something they're deeply embarrassed to admit something posted in said secrets.

No matter what you do in the future with a similar idea I have the feeling you're going to be bitched at for it. *Shrugs* Now that you're no longer anonymous and have a fair share of people who like what you've done perhaps it'd be easier to start a community. Only a suggestion, but it seems easier then stirring up trouble here again.

The obnoxiousness seems to predicate on the subject similarity; what's to stop me from, say, doing four secrets on wildly disparate subjects whose edges happen to match up? That's the sort of thing I meant.

Actual secrets? Don't delude yourself. Yes, that's the stated purpose and that's what many people use it for, but in the end it's all about entertainment value. That's why there's so much wank.

And quite a number of these "secrets" are nothing more than people admitting something they damn well aren't ashamed of and then tacking on, "but my friends would kill me if they found out". Secrets have even been posted where people actually admit this and several people have responded "me too".

None of my secrets were actual secrets. The only difference between me and the poster of these 9 is the fact that hers are blaringly obvious and you're getting your panties all caught up in a tight wad.

Frankly, I find them a breath of fresh air from all of the same shit that shows up here.

Okay, each of these secrets you posted, for one thing, basically comes off sounding like an extremely immature fan gushing excessively about their "HOT TV BOY TOY." That, in itself, is annoying enough.

Then we have to see it about nine times in a row. Unprovoked. And all obviously from the same person. Now really, is your love of this rather ugly television character so damned urgent you needed to tell us about it NINE TIMES?

No.

Then there's the fact that crap like this is hardly any sort of real secret. It's obviously no hidden shame that you get off to the "HAWT GUY" on TV, yet you pretend it is just to carry out this gigantic gimmick and antagonize the rest of the users who come here for actual, earnest secrets and amusing parodies of such.

I DO hope that clears up the confusion. Though I bet it doesn't.
