Anywhere to get free, legal fiction online? (pref. slash)

Anyone have any sites where people post original fiction? Doesn't have to be professional, in fact, I'm totally cool with "fanfiction" style original fiction, and I mainly want to read slash. I'm in the mood for some stories but have no money.

I think Wattpad is the place to go. Also, check out the free reads section here of my favourite LGBT press:

I'll look into it, thanks!

Amazon. No, really. Search romance, sort by price.

Thanks, I'll try that!

ignore the fanfiction section and try the originals section instead

ayrt

That's one of the places I do go! Though I feel like it's really gone downhill lately in terms of how many stories are posted. There has been some amazing quality stuff there in the past, but now I feel like all my favorite stories have been abandoned.

preach it sister

I think most people jumped ship when ao3 became available which is weird because it shouldn't affect the original fiction portion of the site

most quality stuff has been deleted from the site since the authors wanted to publish them, which is a shame... kinda

I miss when everybody had their own slash fiction series

Back in the day, there was the original stories sister site of fanfiction.net -https://fictionpress.com

I haven't been there in ages though.

Wattpad is apparently the new thing. I second Fictionpress as a rec too, although it's pretty dead compared to Wattpad. Some people put their stories on Tumblr.

I like Ao3 the bestest, but there's not a whole lot on there. There's an original fiction tag.

The M/M Romance group does free read type things every so often, I think they might have an archive?

Seconding FictionPress. There's not a lot of feedback/reviews though, but that's fine if you're just looking to just read and not post anything.

Fictionpress.net, which is FF.net's home for original fic.
