I have a gen WIP that even when I DO get readers, they'll leave me comments like "ahhhhh make it X/Y!!! it would be so perfect!!"
No. This is gen. I said there would be no shipping. (also the characters in question are an absolute mess emotionally and a relationship would be very unhealthy, plz take of the shipping goggles).

Well, I usually tend to try and judge my readers favorably... In some of their defense, they did say they were enjoying the story and they did keep reading and commenting... I chose to read it as coming from a place of ship-squee rather than entitlement. But it's a thin line to walk XD

And that comment is pretty wtf too.
