Ignoring how creepy it is that the quote is 2 years old, I don't see him saying that in there.

He appears to be saying that it would be better and more effective if society treated it like a problematic sexual orientation so pedophiles would seek treatment instead of hiding from going to jail and probably being murdered

As a queer person, your use of the slippery slope argument and your insinuation that homosexuality and pedophilia are similar things that can be considered similarly only shows that you probably have no idea what that was and still is like.
