Oh it is, but (most) people don't go around wording it like that unless they're trying to make a point. ie; obnoxious meat eaters towards vegetarians (OM NOM NOM DEAD COW) or obnoxious vegetarians towards omnivores (YOU ARE EATING THE CADAVER OF A COW!!).

Silver Spoon is frackin' amazing and just so well done. I'm dying for the author to make a 3rd season, though I know they are on hiatus for family stuff atm.

Silver Spoon is just such a smart show. I love how it confronts the realities of farming without making it some kind of condemnation of eating meat. I think more people should think about where their meat comes from... anime like this are so rare these days.

Realistic portrayals of agricultural issues and the realities of farming are pretty skimpy in all media. Literature probably does best. I could go for some agriculture recs myself.

I don't know. I tried meat again a few times last year, supposedly high quality, good meat, and I didn't find it that great. So I'll keep doing without most of the time.
However, it did make me realize that the cheese I used to eat everyday without thinking much about it truly is delicious and it makes appreciate it so much more!

When I see Silver Spoon, I think of the 80s sitcom starring Rickey Schroder.
