Stephenie Meyer wrote fic? 'Cause she wrote the genderswap book herself. If she has a history in fic, I'd love/be terrified to read it...

Okay, I'm not sure. It's just my standing theory/headcanon. I feel at the very least she must be familiar with fanfic tropes to even write that stuff. And if you read it, and you're a writer, chances are you wrote something here and there.

A long time ago I heard a rumour she wrote Survivor fanfic. I'm pretty sure it was a comment on one of the fandom_wank communities or similar but was never able to find it again.

Aren't Cassandra Clare and that lady who wrote Fifty Shades of Grey the fanfic writers? To my knowledge, Stephenie Meyer hasn't written any fanfic . . . though Life and Death definitely felt like fanfiction when I read it.

As i said in my other post, I have no confirmation, but given the way she writes and the tropes she uses, I just don't believe she never came into contact with it.
