-She knows those star destroyers. She scavenges in them, has been for years. and it's not impossible that she has found smaller ships that could still be in good enough shape and taught herself to fly.
-She has probably snuck aboard that ship/found plenty of stuff over the years and studied them. There are ships littered on that planet. Not hard to do.
-Gee, I hear Anakin had something similar, just in the form of a dream. The Force will manifest itself however the hell it wants.
-Force sensitive. They tend to have higher reflexes than most. This is canon.
-Force Sensitive. Also, she still probably had some kind of training if not had someone tamper with her head. This is also not unheard of. The original EU had plenty of things of that nature and it's obvious JJ was pulling things from it.
-She failed twice. Jedi are myth, but she still knew of them. Also, Kylo was trying to do the same, no matter how differently he was doing it. Enforcing his will on her. It's the same basic principal.
-Sheer force of will. Not to mention when seeing your friend nearly die, emotion and focus tends to come in here. Look at Obi-Wan when Qui-Gon died. High intense situations make things seem easy.
-He was injured and not fighting her as seriously as he wanted. He wanted her to come with him, so he underestimated her. And she took advantage of that. Most people can do that, whether they are skilled or not. It all depends on circumstance. And she had it.
Yawn. Next?

And after being told by two other people that she is force sensitive, well, she was in a dire situation.
"Do or do not. Thereis no try."
What did she have to lose in trying? Oh I dunno, her very being?
Seriously, just stop. You can't win here.

(Anonymous) 2016-01-08 03:05 pm (UTC)(link)I do agree with you here. Most people completely discount the fact that Kylo Ren was grievously injured in this scene before he ever encountered Rey.
