Droid: pretty sure most astromech-type droids actually speak similarly. She does mechanical shit for her job. Why wouldn't she understand droids?
Lightsaber: She's spent most of her life fighting with a melee weapon (staff). Kylo Ren was seriously wounded and as evidenced by him telling her he wanted to train her, he wasn't actually trying to kill her. She was on the defensive for most of that duel and actually gave a lot of ground. Finn managed decently against Kylo Ren and he has arguably no experience with a weapon like that (blasters? yes. Swords/staves/sabers? No)
Pilot: who says she was better than Han? She didn't outfly him, he never said he thought she was better than him.

Yeah? Huh, I must have focused on the blaster thing because that part didn't occur to me when I posted. I read the thing pretty fast though so it probably just didn't make an impact. Oops.
