Luke's a Marty Stu

No he isn't, you delusional idiot. He's not particularly talented in the beginning beyond being a good pilot (which is explained on why that is), he gets defeated in everything he does up until ROTJ, constantly needs saving, starts off very flawed/whiny, and grows as a character. Rey, OTOH, is already very skilled and has no real character flaws at all, meaning she generally has nothing to develop, which makes her boring. Learn what the damn term means before arguing about it.

- Rey is also explained on why she's so knowledgeable on how to fix ships and fly them. Outside of that and being able to fight due to necessity? She's not either.

- Hmm, it couldn't be because he was headstrong to a fault could it? Oops!! Otherwise, no, he did just fine. And Rey had her own moments where she failed and needed saving.

She has plenty to develop. Trusting others, learning more about the galaxy at large, very naive still, but we see a crack in that by the end of the film...just like Luke did after he saw his family killed. And her over confidence in her skills can be a detriment. She accidentally let out the Rathtars because she pulled the wrong damn plug.

Sorry. They are both fallible and good at their various talents.

Both can be and cannot be Mary Sues/Marty Stus.

I'm still seeing only hate for her because of one thing. You are not convincing me otherwise, nonny.

Sit down, and shut the fuck up.
